Creative Commons, OER and Upcoming Webinar

Creative Commons is a nonprofit organization that oversees a copyright license and a resource for creators. The license allows copyright holders to grant others permission to use their works under certain conditions. CC also provides a search portal where creators can find content with the Creative Commons license. Users should be aware that there are several different CC license options, and each license has different requirements for use; all licenses require attribution to the original author. Creative Commons powers the open education movement with tools that help create better, more flexible and sustainable open educational resources (OER), practices and policies. MOREnet, in cooperation with DESE, has developed Missouri Open Educational Resources for Missouri educators, and we will be offering a short webinar on Aug. 7, 2024, covering Creative Commons licensing and resources.
