Whether it is your first time attending MOREnet Annual Conference or you are in attendance every year, we wanted to point out some of the ways to ensure you get the best experience at this year’s event. You’re sure to walk away with new connections, ideas to take back home, and feeling rested and inspired after Conference.

Experience MORE

This year, Conference is stuffed to the brim with things to do and experience. We have over 70 sessions to choose from during the Instructional days of conference (Oct 21-22) and over 50 sessions during the days dedicated to our technical audience (Oct. 23-24). We’ve secured some great featured speakers and have two keynotes lined up to inspire. Carl Hooker will be speaking on Monday morning and Jayson E Street will be kicking off Wednesday.

Aside from all the learning, we have several fun opportunities throughout conference. Monday evening, we are providing tickets to a dinner and show at 7 p.m. There will be arcade games set up throughout the week and a Pinball tournament on Tuesday evening. Did we mention Conference is being held at the Branson Convention Center, just steps away from the shops, attractions and restaurants at the Branson Landing?

This year we are also setting up an Immersive Learning Lab that will be open on Tuesday morning. Vendors will have interactive booths so you can have hands-on experience with some of the latest education technology.

Helpful Tips

Here are a couple tips and tricks to get the most out of your time at Conference this year.

  1. Register for Conference and book your hotel room!
    • If you haven’t done this yet, this is definitely step one!
    • Call the Hilton directly to secure a room at 417-243-3414. Request to use group code: 946. If rooms are available, they will honor the $159/rate.
  2. Download the app
    • Session descriptions, exhibitor information, Wi-Fi passwords, maps, and more can be found in the app. So be sure to download the app and get logged in before you arrive in Branson.
  3. Take some time to think through your goals for the event.
    • Ask yourself a few questions so you can plan out the best schedule for yourself.
      • What do I want to learn?
      • Do I have any questions I need answered?
      • What sessions do I want to attend?
      • What products or services do I want to see?
      • I’ll be happy to walk out at the end of the day once I …?
      • Are there certain subject matter experts I want to be sure to meet?
  4. Choose your sessions.
    • With so many sessions to choose from, you’ll want to make sure you have your schedule planned. Look through the descriptions to find the best fit for you this year. You can filter by tracks if there is a topic you want to learn more about. Go ahead and create your schedule within the app.
  5. Prepare to network.
    • Be sure to fill out your profile in the app and upload a picture. This makes it easier to share information at the event. Don’t forget to pack some business cards as well.
  6. Be social.
    • Plan to attend an event while you’re there so you can connect with your peers. The dinner and show is sure to be a great time. Stay late or come early to attend the exhibitor reception on Tuesday evening or sign up to show off your pinball skills at the tournament. We promise this is a fun group and you are sure to have a great time!
  7. Dress for comfort.
    • Whether your sessions are down the hall from each other or you want to explore the Landing, it’s always a good idea to wear comfortable shoes for walking around the Branson Convention Center and other sites.  We always recommend dressing in layers in case the room temperature is chilly or warm.
